About Us

Our mission

Create fabulous cakes and baked goods, and in turn, happy clients.

We would like cake*happy baked products to be as good as the ones that you remember from your childhood, that favorite vacation or special celebration thrown especially for you.

Our baking philosophy

Use great-tasting, fresh and minimally processed ingredients to create outstanding baked products.

Examples of what we mean:

  • we don't use cake flour which is generally heavily bleached and processed; in fact, we are using a local, organic unbleached flour!  :)
  • we have to look a little harder, but we use coconut milk that has no preservatives (no sodium metabisulfite) -- it tastes so much better!
  • we crack all of our eggs when we need to use them; they are fresh, never frozen, or pre-separated.
  •  we showcase and take advantage of the natural sweetness (or tartness) of the fruits and fruit products we use
  • when we use sugar, we use cane sugar (and we don't overuse it)
  • we freshly make all of our sauces, and fruit/coconut fillings

Who we are

We are still a relatively newly started, family run business.  We were born and raised on the San Francisco peninsula, though our roots are deeply planted on Kaua'i, Hawaii.

Family and friends are what we value most.  Because of this, in our products we use only what we would choose for those who are most important to us.

We hope that you will taste and notice the care with which we create our products.
